Summary of Basic Parking Regulations

Vehicles parked as follows will be subject to a citation in accordance with RSA 265:69 or City Code of Ordinances Title II Section 18-1-20:

  1. On a sidewalk;
  2. In front of a public or private driveway;
  3. Within an intersection;
  4. Within fifteen (15) feet or in front of a fire hydrant;
  5. On a crosswalk;
  6. Within twenty (20) feet of a crosswalk;
  7. Within thirty (30) feet of any flashing beacon, stop sign, or traffic control device regulating movement of such vehicle, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise;
  8. Within fifty (50) feet of the nearest rail of a railroad crossing;
  9. Along the side of or opposite any street or excavation or obstruction when such parking shall obstruct traffic;
  10. On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of any street;
  11. Upon any bridge or other elevated structure upon a highway or within a highway tunnel, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise;
  12. Within twenty (20) feet of an intersection as measured from intersecting curb lines, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise.
  13. Any place where signs prohibit parking.

Paying a Parking Ticket: You may pay for a parking ticket using any of the following options. Be sure to include your ticket or ticket # when making payment.

On-Line: Pay your parking ticket online HERE. (*Subject to an online processing fee. Effective 08/12/2022, only one processing fee applies regardless of the number of citations paid.)
 
By phone: 1-888-455-2792. 

US Mail: use envelope provided with your ticket. Checks must be payable to City of Concord.

In Person at Concord Police Station (35 Green Street, Concord NH 03301):

  • Cash;
  • Check (payable to City of Concord)
  • Credit card (*Subject to additional 2.79% transaction fee)

Appealing a Parking Ticket:  Appeals are handled by the Concord District Court. You must contact the Parking Division to have a hearing scheduled. Phone: 603-225-8640. Appeals cannot be made on citations that have been paid.
