CASINOS & GAMING FACILITIES AMENDMENTS
The City Council will conduct a public hearing on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers located at 37 Green Street, Concord, NH 03301, to consider amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, pursuant to RSA 675:2 and 675:7.
As proposed by the City Council and referred to the Planning Board, the purpose of the amendments is to define and regulate “Casinos/Gaming Facilities.” It is anticipated that, in the future, the City Council and Planning Board will consider further modification of the zoning ordinance to provide greater flexibility for such uses. The amendments are generally as follows:
• Amend Chapter 28, Article 28-2-4 Allowable Principal and Accessory Uses in Zoning Districts, adding Casinos or Gaming Facilities to the list of uses regulated as principal and accessory uses;
• Amend Chapter 28, Article 28-5, Supplemental Standards, establishing supplemental standards for the siting of Casinos or Gaming Facilities; and
• Amend Chapter 28, Glossary, defining the term Casino or Gaming Facility.
Copies of the proposed amendments are available at the City Clerk’s office, the Community Development Administration office at City Hall (41 Green Street, Concord, NH 03301).
