New Property Tax Billing

For tax bill information for 2020 through current tax year please visit our Citizen Self Service portal (click on “Citizens Self Service” and then “Real Estate”).  Enter either address (house number and street name, no St, Rd, Ave, etc. after), Owner Name (last is sufficient) or Parcel ID (formerly called account number).  Select the appropriate property from results if searching returns multiple property options. Then, select “View Bill” for the year you want to look at (bills are listed as oldest to newest). On this page you will see all four installment dates, amounts, payments, interest and balance due.  For a detailed look at payment history, click on “View payments/adjustments.”  To calculate the amount to pay for a specific date, click in the “As of” box and change the date. Note: for the most current year's tax bill, the due dates may be in the future and thus do not show amounts under the "Due" column. In this case, please refer to any amounts listed under the Balance column and Interest column for exact amounts outstanding. To see the property tax bill image for a selected year, click on “View bill image.” This capability goes back to tax levy year 2020.

Pay Your Tax Bill

For your convenience, the City of Concord provides you with several easy ways to pay your bill. Avoid searching for parking and waiting in line. You can now pay your property tax bill using an electronic check (ACH), or credit card by touch tone telephone (IVR) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or online.

Pay Online Using Our New Portal or Via Phone

Online payments can be made by utilizing our new online software (Click on "Citizen Self Service" and then "Real Estate."). Search for your property and bill using the instructions above and select "Pay Now" below the amount to initiate the online shopping cart. Alternatively, you may pay over the phone by dialing 1-833-270-5924 and providing the tax year and bill number for the payment. You will need your bank routing (ABA) number and your bank account number if paying by electronic check. You will need your credit card number, expiration date and CSV number if paying by credit card. There is a small convenience fee for the online or phone payment service.

You will be given credit for payment as of the date the payment is made, and it will show on your account in real time. Please note, when entering your ABA number, take this from your check and verify the number is correct, as errors will be rejected by your bank and subject you to our returned check fees. Also note, this information is not being verified against your bank account for accuracy or funds. The confirmation you receive and print only shows you have completed this transaction and it will now go to your bank for processing. We advise you to recheck your account in 5 days to verify the transaction was processed and your account has been credited.

Pay In Person or Via Mail

You can, as usual, pay your bill through the mail using the envelope and properly dated coupon provided with the bill. Payments can be made in person at the Collection Office. Bring your bill and coupon with you for proper credit. Office hours are 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The office is open Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. To avoid long lines, it is best to visit the office mid-week, mid-month.

You could also place your payment in the mail slot located at the front of the counter located in the lobby of City Hall. After hours, you can place a payment in the mail box at the bottom of the front steps of City Hall. These boxes are checked each morning and afternoon daily and you are given credit for the day you drop the payment off.

Please include the proper coupon and note your account number/parcel ID on the check to ensure the proper credit.

Bill Pay Payments

Please note that if you pay both your water and your property tax bills via bill pay you need to set up two different vendors.

For property tax payments the vendor must be:
 City of Concord Tax Office
 PO Box 9582
 Manchester, New Hampshire 03108-9582.

For water and sewer payments the vendor must be:
 City of Concord Water Department
 PO Box 9622
 Manchester, New Hampshire 03108-9622.

Please schedule your payment at least 7-10 days prior to the due date to ensure that the payment is received timely.

Paying Your Tax Bill Late

If you cannot pay on time, payments will be accepted late, but interest will be charged. State law requires that the City charge 8% interest prorated on a daily basis on all balances due beyond the due dates. The City has no ability to waive this interest. We strongly encourage you to make regular payments. This will not, however, prevent interest from accruing on delinquent balances. Please call the Collection Office for further information or visit the Real Estate Section on the Citizen Self-Service Portal.
