October is EPA WaterSense's "Shower Better Month" and we want to help Concord water customers shower better by saving water, energy, and possibly even money on utility bills. Three contest entries will be selected to win a Shower Better Bundle that includes a Delta WaterSense labeled hand-held showerhead and other miscellaneous items to provide a luxurious water-saving shower experience. To enter, enroll in our automatic water billing payment plan, E-Z Pay, and submit a contest entry form by 5:00 p.m. on October 31, 2019. Contest winners must be Concord water customers enrolled in E-Z Pay with a submitted contest entry form by the deadline. Customers already enrolled in E-Z Pay are eligible to win, but must also complete a contest entry form to enter. Official contest rules, forms, and more information about the contest and our E-Z Pay Program are available at www.concordnh.gov/watersense.
October 28, 2019, All Day
Leaf collection starts Oct. 28th and will continue as weather permits through Dec. 6th. The south end crew will begin alternating their starting location each year, just like crews in the north and east sides do. Instead of starting at the Bow town line and working north, this crew will start at Blossom Hill Cemetery and work south. Our second crew will start on Elm St. (Penacook) and work south. Our third crew will start on Manchester St. and work north. Crews can only come by once. Have leaves ready, but prepare for weather. Bagged collection starts Nov. 18th and will continue for 3 weeks through Dec. 6th to provide a guaranteed weekly collection (not weather dependent). Leaves must be in biodegradable yard waste bags and/or labeled rigid containers and be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. each Monday. Leaves will be collected separately from trash. Submit a feedback form, watch an overview video, view maps, read FAQs, and find more information at www.concordnh.gov/leafcollection.
