Working with a state licensed aquatic weed specialist the weeds around the pond will be sprayed to kill them. Over the next seven to ten days the weeds will become brown and die off. The product the company used does not affect fish in the pond and has been approved to be used in/around ponds, lakes and rivers. With the weeds gone the water quality of the pond will improve. Parks staff will remove the dead weeds in July,
