Beginning on Monday, April 10, East Coast Signals, the City’s signal contractor, will be onsite at the intersection to install permanent traffic signal mast arms and signal heads. Traffic lanes will be shifted and one-way alternating traffic may be necessary to complete the installation. The work will continue through the week, motorists and emergency response vehicles should seek alternate routes to minimize delay. Pedestrian travel will be monitored with the onsite flaggers during next week’s construction activities. This is the final phase of the intersection improvements that began last summer. The delayed installation is in response to material equipment shortages and delivery delays nationwide.
