Adult & Teen Events

Books and Brew in the Park - Wednesday, October 6th at 5:30pm: Join us IN PERSON! We'll meet at the gazebo in Rollins Park and talk about the books we are reading now. Please bring a chair and your own (non-alcoholic) drink. First Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm. In case of bad weather we will meet through Zoom at 5:30 pm. Register here

US Newsstream - NYT, Boston Globe, Wall St. Journal, and More! - Tuesday, September 21st at 2pmDescription:Learn about the Library's new online newspaper service featuring the NY Times, Boston Globe, Wall St. Journal, Washington Post, and more major national newspapers. US Newsstream can be used inside the library and from home using your library barcode number. RSVP is required. The Zoom presentation link will be emailed to registrants the day prior to the event. You Can Draw This - Tuesday, September 28th at 6pm: Do you find yourself overwhelmed with the idea of coming up with something to draw? Do you not know where to begin? Does the idea of a white sheet of paper scare you? Look no further! You Can Draw This focuses on different tips, tricks, and techniques that anyone can pick up and use from the amateur to the master! For this program, you'll need a pencil (or pen if you're feeling bold) and a sheet of white paper. Over the course of an hour, we will learn some drawing games, shading tips and techniques, talk about line and shape, and end it by drawing together. Virtual Film Screening: The Merrimack: River at Risk - Wednesday, October 13th at 6pm: In The Merrimack: River at Risk, learn why the Merrimack River is under threat, and what we can do about it. This is a project over three years in the making, filmed on location in and beyond Concord. The virtual screening will be followed by a Q&A with Dave Anderson, Senior Director of Education at the Society for the Protection of N.H. Forests. Register here.

Children’s Events

Bee-rilliant:  STEAM for Littles:  All About Bees - Friday, October 1st at 10am:  Join us for this hands-on event where we will discover some interesting facts about bees! This is a BRAND NEW PROGRAM for preschoolers (and their caregivers) that allows them the chance explore a new STEAM topic each month. We will meet on the library lawn.  Space is limited, so be sure to register here to reserve your spot.

STEAM Team -  This popular program for school-age children creatively explores the topics of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematices. Beginning with the month of July, we will meet in person!  Class size is limited, so be sure to register early using this link.

Zig Zag ZOOM Storytime - We are hosting Storytime outside in the park (weather permitting) every Wednesday at 9:30 am!  Locations are listed on the Children's Program Calendar.  You can join us live OR by Zoom!  Register online to attend and receive further instructions!
