Tax Increment Finance (TIF) Districts
About the Districts
In accordance with N.H. State Law RSA 162-K, municipalities have the ability to create Tax Increment Finance districts, commonly known as “TIF” districts. The establishment of such districts allows a municipality to capture all new property taxes generated by new development within said districts in order to finance infrastructure improvements, as well as the operation and maintenance of such improvements. Since the late 1970s, the city has used this tool to help redevelop key areas of Concord.

Concord currently has three active TIF Districts, as follows:
