  1. Spring Leaf Collection

    April 23, 7:00 AM - June 2, 3:00 PM

    The City of Concord’s Spring Leaf Collection begins Monday, April 23, 2018 and will continue for six weeks through June 2, 2018. Concord residents with curbside trash and recycling collection can place an unlimited amount of leaves and grass clippings curbside by 7:00 a.m. on their trash collection day for collection during the program. Leaves should not be raked freely to the curb as this collection method is only during Fall Leaf Collection. Leaves must be placed in biodegradable yard waste bags or labeled rigid containers. Unacceptable items, including plastic bags, will not be accepted. Concord residents may also bring their leaves to Gelinas Excavation & Earth Recycling Center for free (with proof of residency) if the load is smaller than a non-commercial pick-up truck.     Memorial Day is a trash holiday. Trash and recycling collection for Monday, May 28, 2018 will be postponed until Tuesday. Collection for the remainder of the week will be delayed by one day through Saturday.

Street Closures

  1. Street Closure - Memorial Day Parade

    May 28, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ See details below.

    Parade will depart from Capital Shopping Center on Storrs Street and will proceed up Pleasant Street Extension, turning right onto Main Street, traveling to Bouton Street, to Keane Square (near Binnie Media), turning left onto North State Street to the Old North Cemetery where it will halt for a brief ceremony at the Cemetery entrance. After the ceremony, the parade will continue south on North State Street, turning left onto Capital Street, then right onto Main Street. Closing ceremonies will take place on the City Plaza. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the State House Hall of Flags.
