1. Can I apply for a library card online?

Yes, you can apply for a library card online!  Please fill out the form here.  You must be a Concord or Penacook resident to apply for a library card online; unfortunately we are unable to process non-resident cards online.  After we receive your application, one of our librarians will send your card information by email. Your card will be valid for sixty days. During that time, please stop by the Main Library with your photo ID and proof of Concord residence to pick up your physical library card.  Once you pick up your physical card we will extend your expiration date by 3 years, which is our standard term.

2. Do library cards expire?

Your card expires every three years (except for non-resident cards, which expire every year). If you wish to renew your card, you will need to present a photo ID such as a driver's license that shows your current address. If your ID does not show your current address, you will need to bring in an official document with your current address such as a lease, car registration, or utility bill in addition to a photo ID.

3. Can I renew my library card online?

Unfortunately, no. You will need to renew your card in person at the library. At the time of renewal, you will need to present a photo ID such as a driver's license that shows your current address. If your ID does not show your current address, you will need to bring in an official document with your current address such as a lease, car registration, or utility bill. 4. What if I lose my card?

If your card was lost in a public place, we strongly recommend that you contact us to suspend your account (so that your card is not used by someone else to check out material). The replacement cost for a new card is $2.

5. Can I lend someone my card?

You can lend your card to someone but you are still responsible for all the items checked out and any fees or fines accrued. Lend with care!
