Are You Ready to Rock? Children’s Services at the Concord Public Library is!
We are taking nothing for granite (oops—for granted!) this fall as we explore the many types of rocks and gems of New Hampshire. As citizens of the Granite State, we know that if you try to dig down into the soil very far, you will run into rocks.
How did people manage to grow crops here with all these rocks? What happened to The Old Man of the Mountain—one of our most famous rock formations? What other must-see rocks are there? What are the White Mountains made of? Are rocks really stationary or are they stealthily on the move? These and many more burning questions will be answered this fall at the Concord Public Library.
