Five of the seven outdoor community pools in Concord will open for the season this Saturday, June 16: Rollins, White, Rolfe, Kimball and Keach.
The two remaining pools will open July 1 once employees pass their certification classes and complete in-service training. The Concord Parks & Rec Department had a late rush in applications this year. While all of the positions have been filled, some employees will be completing the necessary certification later this month.
The five pools that are opening were selected based on overall pool attendance from last summer and their locations within the city.
Pools opening on Saturday, June 16: Rollins, White, Rolfe, Kimball and Keach.
Weekend hours for these five pools will be 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mid-week public swim hours for Rollins, Rolfe, Kimball and Keach Pools will be regular hours.
The White Park Pool schedule will change slightly, as the pool will only be open 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7 pm (instead of the regular 10 a.m. to noon mid-week morning schedule).
The Garrison and Merrill Pools will not be open for public swim until July 1, however morning swim lessons will continue at both of these pools for the first session. Please note that session one evening lessons scheduled at Merrill Pool will be held at Kimball Pool instead.
