Concord Hazard Mitigation Plan 2023 Public Information Meeting

–Community leaders are taking steps to reduce the effects of Concord’s next natural disaster event, including flooding, storms, severe winds and winter weather. A Hazard Mitigation Committee comprised of City Departments, Boards, emergency personnel, residents, and community stakeholders has completed the City’s updated draft Concord Hazard Mitigation Plan 2023. This updated Plan is required to be approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) every five years to maintain continued eligibility for federal mitigation project funding. 

A PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING will be held in person on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 9:00 AM at the Concord Fire Administration Training Room, 24 Horseshoe Pond Lane in Concord. Participants have the option to join live on Zoom at The purpose of the public information meeting is to present the updated Hazard Mitigation Plan and listen to public feedback on the document. This is not a hearing. All are invited to participate in person or online. 

The draft Concord Hazard Mitigation Plan Update 2023 and associated documents will be posted to the City website at A paper version of the draft Plan along with the Appendices will be available for review at the Fire Department Administration office.
