Genealogy

The City Clerk's Office is not equipped to conduct broad genealogy searches that require a return of all records related to a given name, such as a return on vital records that contain the name John Doe and or Susan Doe. We are able to search for specific records.

The state fee for a vital record search, including a copy of the record is $15. Additional copies of the same records can be purchased at the same time for $10 each. We advise those conducting a wide search of vital records to make use of the State Bureau of Vital Record's genealogy room. The Bureau of Vital Records has records for all cities and towns within the State of New Hampshire.
